    A street scene in in St. Pol de Leon, France.  The hotel sign reads, Hotel Du Cheval Blanc.  This collection of photographs captures the life and times of Europe during the late 1800’s.  The entire collection of over two hundred photos, copied from glass plate images will be available on this site in the near future

St. Pol de Leon Cathedral, built during the 13th Century.
 A small brass plaque on the corner of the building reads,
Plac au Lin, the street of the fabric merchants.
This discovery lead to the identification of these photographs.
